Dry Season
Easier trekking conditions for gorillas and chimpanzees. Trails are less muddy. Peak season, book permits well in advance.
Wet Season
Lush green landscapes, fewer tourists, and lower rates. Trekking is still possible, but trails can be slippery. Excellent for birding.
